A. Vilakazi and Associates Inc. was founded by Ms. A. Vilakazi, who was admitted as an attorney in 2012. Since her admission, Ms. Vilakazi has been practicing law independently, building a reputation for excellence and dedication in the legal profession.

Ms. Amanda Vilakazi serves as a
Director for A Vilakazi and Associates Inc.
She is the Head of Litigation and
Dispute Resolution. A legal virtuoso
with an impressive track record, she
earned her LLB degree from the
University of Johannesburg and was
admitted as an attorney on July 31, 2012.
Amanda specializes in
dispute resolution and litigation. She
has successfully represented a diverse
range of clienst in various courts,
including the high court, magistrate
court, Labour court, CCMA, and
multiple bargaining councils, as well as
AFSA and other related forums.
Amanda’s commitment to the legal
community extends to her role as a
member of the National Council of
Correctional Services. Her role involves
providing advisory insights to the
Minister of Justice and Correctional
Services on policy and legislative
development.
Additionally, she has been a member of
Law Society of South Africa’s Criminal
Law Committee since 2015, contributing
to the review of national legislation and
engaging with legal stakeholders to
ensure compliance with constitutional
norms and common-law rights.
To further ensure that access to justice
in the form of timely, independent, as
per legal precedent and consistency of application of the rule of law is the
guiding principle in dealing with criminal
law.
To ensure the ethos of this is imparted
to all attorneys in this area of practice.
Amanda is currently a member of the
Premier Soccer League (PSL)Dispute
Resolution Chamber, appointed in July
2020, where her role involves presiding
over disputes between Member Soccer
Clubs and players.
Amanda further serves as an
Adjudicator to the Gauteng Housing
Disputes under the Department of
Human Settlement; in this role she
presides over disputes on the
determination of a rightful owner to
State funded houses.
Furthermore, Amanda has served as a
Legal Expert through the office of the
DG advising the Minister of Cooperative
Governance and Traditional Affairs on
Covid-19-related litigation (State of
National Disaster litigation) from June
2020 to February 2023.
Ms Vilakazi was further appointed as an Adjudicator for the Community Schemes Ombud Service (CSOS) in 2024.
In this capacity, she is responsible for presiding over disputes between community schemes or body corporates and their respective members, including owners and occupants, in accordance with the provisions of the Community Schemes Ombud Service Act
